New Plugin Released – Dave’s Social 2.0 Rating Plugin

I’ve just released a new plugin – one that leverages the power of Social networking with comments and Review sites.

It’s called “Dave’s Social 2.0 Rating Plugin” (or “Dave’s Social Ratings 2.0 Plugin”, depending on my mood), and it allows people to rate posts easily – one click with their comment.

For example, comments here can include rating – and the total is shown below.

There are 4 votes, for an average of 4.8 out of 5 (or 96%)

The big advantages – VERY flexible, and theme-friendly (NO editing required).

You can read more here about it, and buy a copy.

Of course, ActiveBlogging Members (Platinum Level) get a copy as part of membership – along with the many other plugins included with membership, it pays to join if only for the plugins!

    Rating 5 out of 5 = 100%

I’d be silly not to vote on my own plugin – and sillier not to give it 5 out of 5 (I’m very proud of it)!

One thing I must admit to wondering about is… what if I get some low ratings? Hey, I know my posts are quite good, but still that little doubt lingers.

Just delete the low ratings comments!

But seriously, I recommend this plugin mainly for sites offering reviews of products or services – this encourages the reviewers to rate the PRODUCT, not the REVIEWER, and so the ratings are more accurate.

Is the “stars” graphic adjustable, or does it always look like this?

You can pick from four builtin graphics, or add your own – here’s the built-in ones:
