Another New WordPress Plugin - Dave’s Easy AdBlocks
I’ve been looking at blogs for awhile that have that nice ‘block’ of ads - and wondering how best to get them.
In the end, I wrote myself a plugin.
And now I’m selling it, so everyone else can add ‘ads’!
The plugin takes a list of ad images and URLs, and forms a grid of ads. It shuffles them around to prevent Ad Blindness, and never repeats, so you don’t get duplicate ads.
For example, you can do 4×4 if the ads aren’t too big, or 1×3 if you want a column of ads (like I’m currently doing on BigBizBlog.com).
And you can have more than one block, so you can try out different ad ‘themes’, sizes, or positions.
And for ease of use, it’s widgetized - move it around widget-enabled WordPress themes easily, or use a single line of PHP code to place AdBlocks anywhere on your blog. For instance, a series of long flat ads could appear ABOVE your blog this way.
You can read more about it on its sales page, but buy quickly - I’m raising the price tomorrow, so you save by taking the time to look today.
