Review: Blogging to the Bank by Rob Benwell
…it depends on your level of experience with blogging – the more comfortable you are, the less you’d need his report.
His report focuses on Blogger accounts and affiliate programs – you won’t read much about Google Adsense (although he does explain how to set up AdSense in a Blogger.com blog), but he will discuss how to find items to sell, and keyword research.
His report is short, to the point, and has many illustrations (the majority for Blogger.com settings). It’s broken into seven Steps:
- Researching topics
- Setting up a blog
- Placing blog ads
- Getting content
- Search engine optimization
- Generating targeted traffic
- Creating a network
The steps are all discussed in detail, and the illustrations are plentiful. And although the focus is squarely on Blogger, the tips he gives can be applied to WordPress blogs, too.
So who should buy it?
If you’ve developed a lot of blogs, you likely already have you own way of filling and promoting them. In that case, this book might give you a tip or two new, but might not seem worth the cost.
On the other hand, if you’re newer to blogs, the emphasis on the easier to run Blogger.com might make it simpler to ‘dip your toes’ into blogging, and make it easier to get up and running (and earning).
One more reason to get it – to get you doing something with blogs and affiliate income – as he concludes:
The first thing you should do now is take action. Don’t just let this ebook gather digital dust like all the other stuff you already have. Just follow the 7 step blueprint and you too can become a blogging super affiliate like me.
So if nothing else the report might be good for motivation!
