How Can Testimonials Help You?

I just received an unsolicited testimonial that I got a real kick out of:

Holy cow-and-a-half, David – I joined yesterday as a platinum member and was absolutely blown away by the amount of information, plugins, etc., that are in there.

I’ve been wanting to trick-out my blogs for a while now, and now you’ve given me the tools and resources to do that. Thanks very much!

- Mike McBride

I’ve talked about the importance of testimonials from a promotional point of view (the May 2006 issue of The ActiveBlogging Report), but I left out one other factor – the power of an unexpected compliment on the receiver.

I’ve been running this site for 2-1/2 years, and I get a kick out of writing and programming solutions for members to get a leg up with blogs and WordPress – but I get an even bigger kick HEARING out how it helps!

So if you’ve been meaning to thank someone lately, don’t hesitate – too many people in this world focus on the negative, and a chance to share something positive is something to not miss out on.

…and of course, if any of those kinds words are meant to go in MY direction, please feel free to say them!
