I’m a big fan of good grammar – or at least good enough that I can usually tell “who” from “whom” and know my “its” from “it’s”…
So I was quite excited to try the After the Deadline plugin, which helps correct grammar, as well as style.
Interesting, and if you are concerned about your writing as I am, well worth a look – however, I’ve since uninstalled it.

One of my oldest bits of PHP code is a site counter. In the early days (pre-2000) these little counters were an advertisement about how popular a site was. And despite better data analysis like Google Analytics and server logs, people still get a kick out of the lowly visitor counter.
So, I’ve updated the counter, and turned it into a widget – which makes it much easier to use, and compatible with any widget-enabled theme, so you can place it anywhere your heart designs.

Only eight days after 3.2 comes 3.2.1 for WordPress, an addition that addresses some JSON Javascript-related issues for some sites, and a few other fixes. This includes tweaks to the TwentyEleven theme. My gray bar along the theme top is gone, so that’s one good thing!
I’m not including a link here – everyone using WP will get the yellow nag as soon as you log in…

WordPress 3.2 is here, and I’ve been trying it out. So far, very nice, although quite a few changes for newer ones to handle. However, I’m especially interested in the accompanying theme, 2011. It’s VERY nice – so nice in fact that I changed over one of my sites already, UtopiaMechanicus.com
Mind you, I wish the theme did a couple of things differently:

If you’ve tried the new FireFox version out (3.6), then you may have noticed something new – personas, or skins, themes that change the look of your browser to match your style, mood, or for just whimsy.
As a WordPress user, we’re familiar with theming and changing our blog look, so this is no surprise.
