I made a blog post recently on Adwords and costs – for example, say you pay $1 per click, and 5% of the people buy (a very good rate). You can figure out the cost per sale easily with a little math:

(PRICE PER CLICK) / (PERCENTAGE BUY) = (AD PRICE PER BUY)

In our case, $1 divided by 5% (0.05), or

1.00 / 0.05 = $20.00

or $20 per buy.

Look at it another way:

You spend $1×100 or $100 to get 100 people there.

I was reading a forum today, where people asked about their top three picks for Internet Marketing books.

That’s a tough one – if I was to pick two books on just marketing, I’d probably recommend one on mental sales techniques like Robert Ciadini’s “Influence” or Dan Kennedy’s “The Ultimate Marketing Plan” (which I’m currently reading).

An ActiveBlogging Member mentioned an email he received on Ken Evoy’s ‘blog attack‘ recently. I had read the email before, but didn’t want to comment on it.

But, when a member asks, I try to answer…

First off, I want to say that I have the utmost respect for Ken and his products. I bought one of his reports many years ago (‘Make Your Site Sell‘, now free to download), and found it delightful and a great guide to search engine optimization.

And although I’ve never personally used his Site …
