I had a member ask a simple question recently, which I answered. And then needed to answer AGAIN – – because of WP 2.5!
It may seem small, but WordPress 2.5 is a radical departure from previous versions – in much the same ways 2.0 changed from 1.5.2

In preparing May’s “The ActiveBlogging Report”, my somewhat short article on posting by email in WordPress has ballooned into the largest in the issue.
Why?
The simple matter is that posting by email is one of those dark corners no one seems to be talking about. Searching the Internet on ‘blog by email’ or ‘posting by email’ (at least with WordPress) provided very little solid information.

I take version numbers seriously.
When I see a v6.05 or a v4.03 or something like that, I understand it to be a contract between the developer and the client, “this works, and will remain unchanged until I change the number”.
So of course I had to break my own rule!
A bug came up a few hours after ABTheme 4.06 came out. I had caught the bug before and squished it (an annoying CSS issue in Admin under WP 2.5), with the fix added in 4.06.

It took longer than expected (mainly because of other projects), but version 4.06 of the best Search Engine Optimized theme and plugin package for WordPress is ready.
Although most of the work involved tweaks and bugfixes, there is one biggy – from 4.06 on, the ‘rental’ licenses are now inactivate.
When ActiveBlogging first started off, members could use the plugin free as long as they stayed a member – this was done by plugin code polling ActiveBlogging from time to time.
